Hi, my name is Harrison. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a child. With the support of mentors, therapists, and caregivers, I learned to appreciate my strengths and weaknesses, focusing on personal growth. Without their help, I might have struggled to manage daily life. Their compassionate care gave me hope and boosted my selfesteem, significantly impacting my journey.
As the caregiving field evolves with new advancements and treatments, it remains a dynamic and rewarding sector. My goal as a caregiver is to meet my clients where they are, building trust and connection through shared experiences. My clients are my top priority, and I develop care plans tailored to their needs, ensuring participation, enjoyment, and independence while minimizing risks. I have released music, composed and perform professionally as a solo performer.
Listening to music, explaining how it works or just dancing for the fun of it are incredibly beneficial, enjoyable and therapeutic. Having taught music and studied it thoroughly, I enjoy pedagogical music practices, helping others foray into music and getting involved in their local scene too.
I strive to provide exceptional care that creates a more inclusive and supportive future for individuals facing challenges. I want my clients to engage in meaningful activities in a welcoming environment and feel confident in themselves and their connections. In my mentoring approach, I emphasize being present and utilizing resources to enhance quality of life and promote independence, fostering self-esteem. Together, we can create an authentic life and provide authentic support.
